These are the results of a national survey conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) in October this year.
According to the survey, Kazakhstan is considered the most reliable partner of Russia in the CIS 37%, 23% of Belarus, Ukraine — 21%. Last year, in Kazakhstan the most reliable partner of Russia saw 31% of respondents in Belarus, which took first place — 43%, in Ukraine — only 4%. There is a loss of confidence in Belarus by almost half and increase confidence in Ukraine more than 5 times.
These estimates correspond to the countries and to assess their leaders, This year, Russians enjoyed most trusted Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev (32%), in second place — the head of the Ukrainian Viktor Yanukovych (17%), the third — Alexander Lukashenko (16%).
