In Moscow, opened a new museum

In Moscow, the opening of the Institute of Russian realist art (IRRI) — the museum complex, which is in the collection are paintings of Soviet and Russian artists of the XX-XXI centuries.

The basis of the museum's first exhibition, and became the private collection of businessman Alexei Anan. Today IRRI collection — one of the best in the world.

Alexey Ananiev, founder of IRRI: "The opening of the Institute — the result of the work that I personally conducted nearly 10 years. Five years ago on the site of the Institute was an old factory building. Now it is a professional museum space: more than four thousand meters of exhibition space, a restoration workshop, a lecture hall, storage space for art … "

The collection includes several thousand paintings, including works by Sergei Gerasimov, Arcadia Plastova Alexander Deineki, Yuri Pimenov, Helium Korzheva, Viktor Popkov, Nikolai Andronov, brothers Alexei and Sergei Tkachev, Victor Ivanov. The first exhibition of the museum includes 500 paintings.
The complex IRRI is one of the oldest buildings of the Moscow textile factory, located in front of Zamoskvorech'e Novospasskogo monastery. The building, which was built in the late XIX century, was carried out remodeling and restoration, it equipped with the latest engineering services and special equipment that allows to create the necessary conditions for the storage of works of art.

In the nearest plans of the IRRI — start the excursion program, system audio guides and the beginning of the lecture, the opening of a souvenir shop. Pupils and students of art institutions can visit the museum free of charge.

The complex is located at Derbenevskaya, 7, Building 31 (the metro station "Paveletskaya" and "proletarian"), according to a press release from the museum.
