RUSNANO has opened in Moscow on a new pilot production project RMT producing thermoelectric cooling micronutrients.
These components are used for cooling lasers, photodetectors, and integrated circuits. Reducing the size of the cooling elements allows you to create more powerful devices, popular modern telecommunications, computing and optoelectronic industries.
RMT produces about 300 thousand units per year, 80 percent of its production is exported — in the U.S., Canada, Japan, Europe.
RUSNANO's investment in the creation of new production will amount to 150 million rubles. As a co-investor advocates Closed-end mutual fund high-risk (venture) investments "S-Group Ventures", created with capital of JSC "Russian Venture Company". The total budget of the project is 797 million rubles. RMT Company was created by experts from various scientific organizations, including the Institute of Physics of the Lebedev (FIAN), Russian Academy of Sciences. Business was supported by the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology (Bortnik Fund), and in 2009 the Supervisory Council of RUSNANO has approved funding for the project to expand the production of thermoelectric cooling microsystems for opto-, micro-and nanoelectronics.

RMT produces about 300,000 units a year, and 80% of its production is exported — in the U.S., Canada, Japan, Europe and Southeast Asia. In 2010, revenues amounted to 146 million rubles. It is planned that the establishment of a new manufacturing plant and further expansion of the production of the company's revenue in 2015 will grow to 1.3 billion rubles, and the PMT will take about 10% of the world production of these components.

Modules that use this effect, allow to cool electronic devices small and medium power for a few tens of degrees. A key role in the efficiency of the heat absorption material is played, which is made of a thermoelectric element.
In the manufacture of thermocouples Ltd. "RMT" the technology of hot extrusion of nano-sized powders, which allows for additional cooling 15-20 ° C for single-stage coolers. The particle size of the thus obtained material ranges from 5 to 20 nm.
