In Moscow, opened the Center for Educational Innovation and space services

June 14, 2013 the opening of the Center for Educational Innovation and space services (CMC) in the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography" (MIIGAiK).


The opening ceremony was attended by high school CMC Deputy Head of the Federal Space Agency OP Frolov, Advisor to the Head of Roscosmos VA Zaichko, Rector MIIGAiK AA Mayorov, Director General of JSC "Scientific and Production Corporation" REKOD "VG Bezborodov, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science and the other participants of the event were presented the opportunity Space Center services using information Geoportal Roscosmos. O. Frolov noted that the creation of the Center for Space Services is the result of joint work of Roscosmos, the Russian Ministry of JSC "Scientific and Production Corporation" REKOD "MIIGAiK, Research and Development Center" RDC "and the Research and Production Center" Nature "and will promote training in service space services executive authorities, governance structures at various levels and the public with the results of space activities. He added that at present, a network of centers of space services, which today has grown to over 50 CMC in various regions of the Russian Federation. The opening of the Centre in MIIGAiK will:

  • provide training for technicians (Bachelors and Masters) and re-training in the use of space activities;
  • establish staffing of the regional and municipal programs targeted introduction of satellite navigation technologies and other results of space activities;
  • expand the list of space-based services provided by different users on the basis of the results of space activities and information and navigation technologies developed by leading enterprises of rocket and space industry and Russia.
