The investigation has chosen measure — detention — against 19 suspects in the case of the riots in Minsk on December 19. Only in the case of 22 individuals.

"Investigation Department of the preliminary investigation Minsk police arrested 19 people suspected of involvement in the commission of a crime under Article 293 of the Criminal Code (mass disorders). All suspects have been detained in the remand prison of the KGB of the Republic of Belarus. Conducts investigations."

Two other presidential candidates Gregory Kastusyou and Dmitry Uss are under house arrest, and the chief of staff of Sannikov Vladimir Kobets is in the KGB detention center for three days until the status of the detainee.
People who have the status of prisoners can be transferred to the transfer. By this time, the transfer of prisoners detained in the case on December 19, in the KGB detention center refused to take.
Under Part 1, Art. 293 of the Criminal Code "organization of mass disorders accompanied with personal violence, pogroms, arson, destruction of property, armed resistance to authority, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of five to fifteen years."
In accordance with Part 2 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code "participation in riots that emerged in the immediate commission of acts referred to in the first part of this article, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of three to eight years."
