In St. Petersburg, the first stone of the new building of the Court of Arbitration

The new building of the Arbitration Court of the estimated area of 29 thousand 600 square meters will be located at street Smolny, 6, letter A.

The laying of the first stone of the new building of the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. The ceremony was attended by Governor Georgy Poltavchenko, the representative of the President of Russia in the North-West Federal District Nikolai Vinnichenko, Chairman of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation Anton Ivanov.

Officially, the supreme courts of moving from Moscow to St. Petersburg, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting in Novo-Ogaryovo. From the capital to St. Petersburg to go the Supreme Arbitration Court, the Supreme Court, the Judicial Department at the Supreme Court. 

The new building of the Arbitration Court of the estimated area of 29 thousand 600 square meters will be located at street Smolny, 6, letter A. The general contractor for the construction of a "trust Mostostroitelniy number 6", according to the Smolny. Managing director of President Vladimir Kozhin said earlier that the move higher courts in St. Petersburg will take two to two and a half years and is estimated at 50 billion rubles. 

Georgy Poltavchenko said that laying of the first stone of the new building of the Court of Arbitration — a historic event for the city. "Making the important decision to transfer from Moscow to St. Petersburg High Court and the Supreme Arbitration Court of Russia. Today's event is a prelude to the establishment of St. Petersburg as a full court of the capital of our country," — said the governor. 

The mayor noted that the new courthouse to be built in one of the most beautiful parts of the historic center of the city on the Neva River, will create all the conditions for the work of the judges, to conduct a full trial.
