In the Penza region created a non-profit partnership "Penzrybhoz", which included the leaders of 12 major fish farm area. Chairman of the partnership selected entrepreneur Ivan Schneider.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Penza region members of the non-commercial partnership "Penzrybhoz" collectively will address issues in priority areas of fish farming industry in the region.

 

"Today, the question of unification and the creation of farmers' associations is essential in the development of the industry" — said Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Penza region, Valery Kuznetsov.
The volume of production of marketable fish in the region in 2012 amounted to 1,496 tons, including fishing areas transferred to the organization of marketable fish, 1,096 tons. This is 32.0% higher than in 2011.

In 2013, production of marketable fish is projected to at least up to 1500 tons. During the first half of 2013 has already produced and caught 268 tonnes of fish, which is 27% higher than in 2012.

In terms of production on artificial fish ponds Penza region of the Volga Federal District ranked 3rd, behind only the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Saratov region.

In this sector in the region employs about 110 (peasant) farms and individual entrepreneurs, 40 agricultural consumer cooperatives and limited liability companies.
