In the vegetable plantations UMMC-Agro will pour half a billion rubles

Such an amount is required to complete the construction of the greenhouse complex near Yekaterinburg.

80 million rubles will be allocated in 2012 for JSC "Hothouse" (part of "UMMC-Agro") from the budget of the Sverdlovsk region.

January 25, Acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Anatoly Gredin and Regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Ilya Bondarev visited the company on a working visit. As reported by "Uralinformbjuro" the press service of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company, they were shown the latest Dutch technology of cultivation of tomatoes on mineral cotton mats. According A.Gredina, greenhouse complex near Yekaterinburg — one of the most modern vegetable-growing economies in the Middle Urals.  

Greenhouse project worth 1.3 billion rubles was launched six years ago and will be completed in 2013. The first phase of JSC "Greenhouse" area of 4 hectares was launched in February last year. During her work managed to get 3,000 tons of tomatoes per square meter brought 38 kilograms of tomatoes per year. By 2015, due to improved technology yields will be reduced to 65 pounds with a "square". This draft is submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, where the issue will be decided in February to allocate additional funds to the enterprise.   

In addition, in the spring of 2012 it is planned to start construction of the second and third stage of greenhouses with a total area of 8 hectares, which will be grown cucumbers and lettuce. This will supply the stores and region of the Ural capital three times more local vegetables, covering the needs of 11%.
