Sociologists have found that 78% of our citizens can not name the date of the start of the war. One out of ten do not know who led the war on the USSR. And half of Russians has no idea about the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.
Half of Russians believe that the second global war started in 1941
Eight of the 10 Russians do not know, when the second global war.
According to a poll by VTsIOM, most of our citizens are convinced that the start date of World War II coincides with the date of the German attack on Russian Alliance.

Only 22% of Russians know that the war began on September 1, 1939.
