Strong rains poured Cuba and the Dominican Republic

Cuba and the Dominican Republic are suffering from the floods. Hurricane Irene, which hit the Caribbean coast, brought to the region powerful showers.

As reported, wind storm destroyed the homes and destroyed crops. From coastal areas evacuated about 11,000 residents.

Hurricane Irene has gained strength and made landfall well to the Bahamas. Wind speed reached 200 kilometers per hour.
