Abuja, August 28. Because of flooding in the city of Ibadan, in south-western Nigeria, killing at least 20 people. According to BBC, thousands of people were forced to flee their homes.
As described in the local administration, the flooding was caused by heavy rainfall, and it was so strong that it destroyed houses and bridges. Now the authorities have organized tent cities to accommodate people from the affected areas.
Recall that last year because of the unprecedented floods in Nigeria 258 thousand people were left homeless. About 1.5 thousand people have died from cholera epidemic which caused floods.
