MOSCOW, October 4 — RIA Novosti. Earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred in the Romanian county of Vrancea in 05.40 (06.40 MSK) on Tuesday, reports AFP.
"The center of the earthquake lies at a depth of 130 kilometers. Last earthquake of such strength was recorded in 2009. Earthquake in Vrancea County — normal thing, "- said the press secretary of the National Research Institute of Earth Physics Mircea Radulyan (Mircea Radulian).
Tremors were so strong that they felt even the inhabitants of the Romanian capital — the city of Bucharest.
At the request of the local police, no damage was registered.
Vrancea county located near Severokarpatskogo range and is the most earthquake-prone areas in Romania.
