Young couple tapirs brought to Novosibirsk about two years ago from zoos in Germany and Sweden.
"This is our first child at a young couple Dylan and Danko. Cub was born weighing seven pounds. This is a good weight for a small tapir" — told RIA Novosti the Zoo Julia Kisora.
Zoo staff did not take the baby with her mother in a separate room, as is frequently done with some animals. So visitors can see how the mother-tapir nurtures her first child. Father was placed in the adjacent enclosure.
