Lithuanian Foreign Minister meets with the head of the OSCE Office

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Azubalis today met in Vilnius with the head of a private of the OSCE Office in Minsk Benedikt Haller, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.

Lithuania, which from 1 January chairs the OSCE, said recently making diplomatic steps to ensure that the work of this office in Minsk has been continued.

"The meeting will discuss the activities of the OSCE Office in Minsk and the government's decision this country not to extend the mandate of the office, which ended on 31 December 2010 city, "- said in a press release the Foreign Ministry.

Observers attributed the decision not to renew the mandate of Belarus of the OSCE Office in Minsk criticized presidential elections by the OSCE observer mission.
