Emergency mode after a thunderstorm with hail introduced in four communities of Chuvashia

Administration Mariinsky Posad district Chuvashia, in which, after a severe thunderstorm with hail were powered down 48 settlements, adopted a resolution on the introduction of state of emergency in areas of October, Bichurinskogo, Karabash Aksarinskogo and rural settlements, the site says the area.

As noted by the district administration, the settlements most affected by the strong squally winds and heavy rain and hail on July 17.

"The heads of these rural communities, heads of organizations, businesses and services recommended to ensure prompt response to the emergency, to determine the amount of damages and losses, as well as help people in rebuilding destroyed homes," — said in a statement.

Severe hailstorm on July 17 led to blackouts in 71 village Chuvashia. As a result of rampant floods in the country, according to some data, hit eight districts. As noted by residents of the area, the wind during the storm was so strong that sometimes tore roofs. And residents have reported that many of the large hail damaged crops, the wind knocked trees and fences, knocked out windows and doors. According to the Republican MOE, squally winds damaged the roof of 32 houses in the village and the village Hornyaly Oktyabrskoye.

Most affected Mariinsky Posad district, where, according to the head of the administration of Chuvashia, wind and hail severely damaged 302 homes without electricity were 48 settlements, which are home to 9000 people. In the village the October hurricane completely destroyed the building of the transformer substation. In this regard, the village will be connected to the mobile substation. Employees of the branch of JSC "IDGC of Volga" — "Chuvashenergo" are working to restore power in the area.
