In California, they know how to deal with asteroids and meteors

U.S. researchers from the California Polytechnic University is armed with several ideas to address the detection and disposal of potentially hazardous asteroids and meteors invading Earth space. Their work is still at the level of preparation of a theoretical framework, but has far-reaching perspective.

In California, they know how to deal with asteroids and meteors

Scientists have proposed to destroy dangerous asteroids and meteors with a laser, which is sent to the target of a large space system operating on solar energy. The plot is very common with the notorious film "Star Wars", especially considering that the project will be named DE-STAR. But experts have absolutely serious plans for its complete implementation.
The problem of asteroids and meteors really have to decide, because the chip size of half a football field can on impact to create a shock wave that is related to power with a huge hydrogen bomb. DE-STAR, likely to be able to rule of the same asteroid in an hour or so, literally vaporizing threatening our planet an object with a focused solar beam or dissolving it.
