In RuNet opened Internet portal First in Space

On the eve of the 50th anniversary of the first manned flight into space the Ministry of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation has announced the launch of a web site "First in Space", established under the Ministry of Communications of the project "The Russian victory and the winners" and on the history of space exploration and development of space industry.

The basis of the portal represented by addresses win-kosmos.rf and, formed documents, photos, audio and video, as well as historical sketches, and other archival materials on the history of domestic space. Acquisition of the site will continue uninterrupted for three years. On the pages of the project will be located more than 11,000 pages of digitized material periodicals, about 600 unique video and audio materials, and more than 1,700 photographs from the archives of ITAR-TASS and other sources. Planned to translate the site into other languages. At the moment in the video archive are registered 150 popular scientific and documentary films made by domestic film documentalists from 1957 to 1990. Here you can see the video chronicles the flight of Yuri Gagarin, rare recordings newsreel "News of the day," Film Review "In the Soviet Union" for the years 1957-1986. and a collection from the State Fund of television and radio programs.

Gallery portal includes more than 250 photographs from the collection of ITAR-TASS, as well as the work of Soviet and Russian masters of the portrait and photo essay. All materials incorporated into thematic blocks of personalities and events associated with the study of the cosmos.

Special attention should be digitized audio archive records from the Russian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation. Portal visitors can listen to the recording communications mission control center to the commander of the spaceship "Vostok" Yuri Gagarin. This section also feature performances by astronauts, record press conferences and radiorasskazy about space.
