September 27 TMK-INOX, which is part of the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK), opened a new section for the production of welded precision tubes of stainless steels and special alloys.
The new production opened at the Sinarsky pipe plant in Kamensk-Ural.
The draft of the new production started in early January 2011, and the designed capacity is planned for January 2014. These pipes are used in the oil industry, energy industry, mechanical engineering and aerospace industries. By 2014 it is planned to create a new site for at least 400 new jobs. The volume of the market, which is planning to take a new production site in 2015, is estimated at 25-30%. After the release of the equipment at full capacity on the new site will produce 10 thousand tons per year.
TMK-INOX — A joint venture of TMC and RUSNANO — was created in 2010. The purpose of the project — the creation of high-efficient production of tubes for special applications. The total budget of the project until 2017 will amount to 3.7 billion rubles, including RUSNANO investment of $ 1.2 billion.
Plant started two lines will produce one tube diameter of 8 to 33 mm with a wall thickness of 0.5 to 3 mm, the second — from 25 to 114 mm and wall thickness of 1 to 5 mm, by welding TIG, wherein inert gas is used. These pipes are in demand in the automotive, chemical, food, and partially in the nuclear industry. When the project was used Russian equipment.
The project TMK-INOX allows to improve the basic properties and characteristics of precision pipes (strength, ductility, corrosion resistance, its geometry, the surface quality) while reducing production costs.
"Two years ago, starting to produce seamless stainless steel tubes using nanotechnology, we have made a serious bid for its presence in a new market niche Stuckey products, such as tubes for special applications. Through the implementation of a joint project with RUSNANO "TMK-INOX" in Russia there is a real possibility of import substitution in the market of specialized pipes for the nuclear industry, aerospace, high-tech industry, "- said General Director (TMK) TMK Alexander Shiryaev. General Director of "TMK-INOX" Leonid Marchenko said that 60% of these products are now manufactured by foreign companies.
