Latvian Foreign Minister — against economic sanctions against Belarus

The introduction of EU economic sanctions against Belarus will not give the desired result, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Girts Valdis Krystovskis. He expressed this opinion in an interview on January 11 Latvian Internet portal TVNET.

"I think the introduction of economic sanctions does not give the desired result. As for tighter visa restrictions, they must be discussed, after weighing all the "pros" and "cons." I believe that a strict visa regime for Lukashenko and the Belarusian politicians can not be excluded, "- said Krystovskis.
