5.6 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of El Salvador

An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale occurred on Monday near the Pacific coast of El Salvador.

As the representatives of the authorities of the Central American countries, the data on damaged or destroyed as a result of the disaster has been reported.

According to the National Service of Territorial Studies, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Pacific Ocean at a distance of 30 km from the coast of the department of Sonsonate. It occurs at a depth of 33.8 km, the ITAR-TASS news agency.
