Blood poured down rain in Sri Lanka

Four provinces of Sri Lanka — Manaragala, Manampitiya, Polonnaruwa and Sevanagala — were washed unusual rain: 15 minutes from the sky pouring red water. This meteorological phenomenon was a real mystery: like in Sri Lanka was first observed.

Theoretically cause such color can be increased acidity of air and dust storms, which are raised in the air colored sand particles. But in the provinces of dust storms do not happen.

A similar phenomenon occurred in 2001 in the Indian state of Kerala. Scientists found that the rains were colored red spores from local algae.
Research Institute was asked to study patterns of precipitation and the reasons for them to call.
