Russian nationalism can and must be constructive

Russian nationalismAccording to sociologists, in the Voronezh region marked increase national awareness of indigenous people

Almost 50% of the Voronezh believe that Russia — a multicultural country, but most of the Russian should have more rights. We are convinced that Russia is for Russian, 12.94% of the region. Indicate that Russia — a multicultural country and a common home for many people, 38.47%. Negligible (0.5%) rate difficult to answer. These are the results of the survey on national issues, conducted from July 30 to August 2, 2012 the regional rating agency ANO "ARSEP." The survey, which was conducted via telephone interviews, an opinion on the range of 603 residents expressed the Voronezh region. What do these numbers mean?

Russian party would support more than 40% of the Voronezh

Obtained from a survey conducted by ANO "Agency regional socio-economic projects", the data suggest that the region very active in the process of national self-indigenous Russian (Slavic) population. Gradually the people of the region are becoming more aware that the Russian should not be on the political sidelines — they should use democratic procedures and record their special rights in the Russian Federation, did not infringe, however, the rights of other nations and ethnic groups.

Belated process of having its own national identity, some political analysts confirms the thesis that nationalism can be constructive. Moreover, due to the liberalization of political party legislation is quite tangible prospect of mass support of Russian parties, which are now going through a process of registration in the Ministry of Justice. If elections to the Russian parliament or regional Legislative Assembly held today, a party or parties would be willing to support the 42.29% of voters. Other party-political preferences shared 55.72% of the respondents could not answer the question of less than 2% of respondents. So nationalism and democracy is even compatible.

One factor that helps Russian in search of its own identity, is the presence and growth in the number of foreign migrant workers, especially illegal. This factor is a catalyst for the formation of a moderate nationalist sentiment in society. In order to objectively examine the issue, here it is logical to bring the official statistics, according to which in the Voronezh region recorded a significant presence of migrants. According to the Federal Migration Service of the Voronezh region in 2011 in the territory of the Federation to perform labor activities 14,332 foreign citizens and stateless persons, and in the first half of 2012 — 13100.

Disrespect to the traditions of the indigenous population is unacceptable

Thus for the first six months of this year in the Voronezh region were put on migration registration of foreign citizens and 47 724 316 stateless persons. A list of states from which they came, very impressive. In particular, in the Voronezh region recorded 19,878 Uzbeks (and this is only formal, but how many "secret Uzbeks", which once sang Boris Grebenshikov, "already there", now no one really knows), 3191 Tajik, Kazakh, 2524, 2222 Azerbaijani, 1015 Kirghiz … Compared with a significant presence of nationals from countries where traditional religion is Islam (the expression "religion of peace and kindness," which is used in relation to this confession of her media from today seems almost ironic), 5468 Ukrainians and Moldovans 3147 did not cause much concern.

As the head of research, Doctor of Political Sciences Dmitry Nechaev, "in the Voronezh region realized too liberal policy towards illegal immigrants, and, as a consequence, ethnic crime. There have been some inexplicable shyness and excessive tolerance of some cosmopolitan heads of regional and federal agencies to these negative trends. " For example, in 2011, was found in 2879 illegal immigrants, and for 6 months in 2012 — 1622. In spite of this, for the whole of 2011 the Voronezh region were deported 3 (three!) foreign nationals, as well as for the first half of 2012 … It seems that the fight against illegal migration by such a simple and natural measure as deportation responsible people are not in a hurry, even if you send each one hundredth identified migrant …

As the data of Rosstat, Voronezh region has become one of the most migrantoprivlekatelnyh Russian regions, net migration in the first half of 2012 amounted to (+) 3129 people. But this advantage is not just labor, but also certain social problems in the first place — conflicts with indigenous people that bringing a different culture, different civilizational values. By the way, visitors do not always appreciate the hospitality that they can not celebrate those who could still run. Meanwhile, 99.83% of the population believe that the representatives of national minorities must adopt if not, then at least respect the culture and traditions of the native Russian (Slavic) population of the Voronezh region.

"Still, Voronezh quite tolerant to living with the representatives of other nations and ethnic groups — continues Dmitry Nechaev. — Moreover, willing to put up (at least for now) with formed with government lobbying grounds of national minorities. In particular, set up at the initiative of the Governor of the National Chamber of A. Gordeev, in which all nations, except the titular nation (that's really a glaring example of political short-sightedness!). By the way, in most other parts of such an institution is not. " Nevertheless, 49.42% of respondents believe that the creation of the House soundly, and have deep doubts about this only 30.02% of respondents.
