He was born April 23, 1934 in the village of heather Novogrudskii region into a peasant family. In 1952, he graduated from the local high school. In 1959 he graduated from the State University of Baku, in 1962, he worked at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Doctor of Philosophy in specialty aesthetics professor.
Since 1991, he headed the Department of Theory and History of Culture of the National Scientific and Educational Center after Skarina.
Laureate of the State Prize of Belarus in 1984 for participating in the writing cycle of monographs on the history of philosophical and political thought of Belarus. Explored the theoretical and methodological problems of philosophy and cultural studies, the history of aesthetic thought, the history of Belarusian culture, Belarusian folklore. The author of many monographs and books, including "The development of aesthetic thought in Belarus (1917-1934 gg.)" (1968), "From Renaissance to Classicism" (1978), "Light for the people: Mother tongue and culture in the era of perestroika "(1989)," Light and shadow poetry of life: Lyrics of Maxim Bogdanovich's "(1991) and others.
