Primorsky Territory Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky signed a decree on the establishment of a buffer protection zone of the national park "Land of Leopard", which will soften the impact of human activity on the Red predators, said on Wednesday the administration of the region.

According to the agreement, the protected zone of the National Park "Land of Leopard" covers 82,000 hectares of habitat of the Amur tiger and leopard in the adjacent national park areas and Nadezhda Khasan district and Ussuri urban district.
As the Siberian branch of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Russia, the National Park buffer zone "Land of Leopard" is created without taking land from owners and users. "But the regime security zone imposes restrictions on their activities and creates the most favorable conditions for the leopard", — stated in the release.
