According to preliminary estimates, the magnitude of the quake reached 6.5. The earthquake in the Indian Ocean, 547 km south-west of Bintan, located on the island of Sumatra, at a shallow depth — 10 km. The threat of a tsunami have not announced, the information is coming.

The earthquake lies at a depth of 24 km, the epicenter was located at a distance of 200 km to the south of the island of Java.
