In the South Pacific, an earthquake of magnitude 7.6

Along the coast of the island chain Kermadec earthquake magnitude of 7.6, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake was located at a depth of 39.8 km, the tremors were recorded at 130 km from the island of Raoul. Warning about the threat of a tsunami after the earthquake were announced.

Kermadec Islands are located in the South Pacific. Raoul Island is located in the north of the archipelago, it is full of volcanoes, most of its highest point — Mount Mamukaev — is the highest point of all the Kermadec Ridge.
