Russian Navy will receive a new multipurpose nuclear submarine of the fourth generation "Severodvinsk" Project 885 "Ash" at the end of 2011, according to RIA Novosti with reference to the representative of CB "Malachite", the project developer submarine. Currently submarine passes mooring tests and preparing for a hot factory, which will begin in May 2011. As expected, the test will begin in the summer of submarine weapons systems.

It was originally planned that the Russian Navy will receive 30 nuclear submarines of the "Ash", but now it is only about six ships. NPS can reach speeds of up to 31 nodes and will be equipped with ten torpedo tubes 650 and 533 millimeters, and 24 rocket launchers for the missiles of the "ship-to-ship" and "ship-to-earth." Cruise missiles, long-range weapons will be part of a new Russian nuclear submarine.
