Interior Ministry has prepared proposals for the development of a law that would forbid minors from being in public places after 23 hours unless accompanied by parents or guardians. On it informs BelTA referring to the management of prevention of the Interior Ministry.
Believe in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the decision could be an additional measure for the prevention of juvenile delinquency, as minors are breaking the law, usually late in the evening or at night.
The Interior Ministry reported Now that on account of police in the country there are about 15,000 minors. According to statistics of the Ministry, with 2006 juvenile crime has decreased by 41.3%.
Some steps for the introduction of "curfew" for teenagers have been taken. January 12 2011and came into effect a new provision of the Code of Administrative Offences — art.17.12 "Admission to the disco, in the cultural and entertainment clubs minors" under which the nightclub owners can be fined if after 22 hours in the facility will be minor. For violation of this article to individual entrepreneurs and legal entities (hosts institutions) faces a fine of from 10 to 50 basic units (one base value currently stands at 35 thousand Belarusian rubles).
