The crack was found in the reactor at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant, Ohio

Nuclear Regulatory Commission, said that in the protective housing of the reactor at the plant in Ohio, found a crack.

Crack length of about 30 feet. Engineers have yet to determine what caused the damage is and how dangerous it is.

Nuclear power plant was built in 1970 and in 2011, it was planned reconstruction. There is not an expert opinion, official sources refused to comment on the severity of damage and the existence of a threat of radioactive contamination.
