The earthquake occurred off the coast of Java island

Earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred on Friday near the western coast of the Indonesian island of Java.
According to the Australian Seismological Service, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 5 km west of the city Kirakap. Hearth lies at a depth of 35 km.
Tremors were felt in a radius of 187 km from the epicenter. Information on casualties or damage were reported.

The world's largest island nation surrounded by the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire — a chain of seismically active zones and volcanoes, including underwater, ITAR-TASS reported.
