The Indian capital is experiencing record cold snap

Wednesday was the coldest day in 43 years in New Delhi, the temperature did not rise above 9.8 degrees Celsius.

Residents of the city, for which a very unusual cold and unpleasant, try to stay warm as they can. The hardest hit has to the poor. It is expected that Thursday will be even colder.

In the mornings and evenings in the northern states of India report dense fog that is a big problem for the transport. According to news agency IANS, in the metropolitan area of more than 10 trains arrived at their destination with a significant delay.

Last week, in the state of Uttar Pradesh tragic situation, when the cold, dozens of people died. One of the reasons for this are due to bureaucracy, long delays in providing the poor rugs and blankets.
