The Global Fire Initiative helicopter (Global Helicopter Firefighting Initiative (GHFI)) holding "Helicopters of Russia" (a subsidiary of "Oboronprom" entering the State Corporation Rostekhnadzor) is sponsoring the Conference on Air Fire Fighting (Aerial Firefighting Conference), which takes place in France in the period from 10 to 11 April 2013.

For the participants of the Conference is planned to demonstrate the possibilities of fire fighting helicopter Ka-32A11VS owned by the Spanish operator INAER, specializing in the provision of emergency services, fire fighting and disaster management.
In the fire-fighting version of the Ka-32A11VS able to extinguish the fire with the drainage device and a water cannon. Ka-32A11VS meets AP-29 and has a certificate issued in 2009 by the European Aviation Safety Agency (European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)). The helicopter is certified in Canada, China, India, Brazil and other countries. In December 2012 the helicopter received confirmation of the certificate of airworthiness in Australia.
In 2013, Ka-32A11BC helicopter became a symbol of the Global Fire Initiative, aimed at improving the efficiency of specialized fire-fighting helicopters. The launch of this program holding company "Helicopters of Russia" announced in February 2013 in the course of participation in the Australian exhibition of Avalon. To participate in the program are invited GHFI manufacturers of fire protection systems and equipment for helicopters, offering innovative technology to improve the quality characteristics of helicopter firefighting systems.
