The network of observing Earths magnetic field

The Russian Arctic decided to restore the network of magnetic variation stations that existed before 1992, and monitors the state of the magnetic field. Installation of another such station started in Cape town Stone in Yamal. Changes in Earth's magnetic field has a serious negative impact on modern devices and systems that affect human health. The effects are manifested in the form of interference with the geophysical survey, GPS navigation, induction anomalies in gas pipelines and electricity networks, the loss of accuracy in conducting directional drilling. Currently, in the Kara Sea and the Yamal work the following magnetic variation station: in Amderma at Dixon Island, Norilsk, Nadim and Seyahi.
