5.1 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Papua — New Guinea

MOSCOW, July 11 — RIA Novosti. Earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred on Monday in the Bismarck Sea off the coast of Papua — New Guinea, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The epicenter of quake that struck at 00.27 UTC (04.27 MSK), located in 171 km south-west of the city on the island of Manus Lorengau, the focus was at a depth of 34.7 kilometers.

Information on casualties or damage were reported, the tsunami threat was reported.
