Meteorologists warn of dangerous levels of UV in the south of Russia

"In the Central and Southern Federal Districts, and in the Irkutsk region and the greater part of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) weather conditions will help to reduce ozone in the atmospheric column by 10-20%. These regions near midday during overcast weather index ultraviolet irradiance expected higher, "- said in a statement.

In the central regions of Russia and in southern Yakutia UV Index (UVI) be 6-7, on the shores of Lake Baikal — 7-8, in the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus 8-9. Dangerous is the index of more than 5, the document said.
