The river overflowed its banks due to the volcanic eruption in Kamchatka

Lava Plosky Tolbachik, erupting in Kamchatka caused overflows flowing rivers in the area, according to the Kamchatka volcano.

Flat Tolbachik began erupting on 27 November. In the area of the southern slope formed two fractured breakthrough with Lava — a stream of top-break was more than six kilometers from the bottom — about 20 miles.

"The level of the lava in the river often changes, sometimes by 3-5 meters. Because of this, the river overflows its banks and floods the area for tens of meters," — said in a statement.

Visually air volcanologists found that flank eruption continues.

"The crater cinder cone emitting incandescent material to a height of about 100 meters. Past three weeks, formed a wall on the east side (before the cone was discovered in the eastern direction.) Lava flows poured from the pipe to the south and east. Appear on the lava field new lava flows in the most unexpected places, "- said the observatory.

Tolbachik eruption, called "Jubilee Tolbachik Fissure Eruption", continues. The crater of the volcano lava lake was formed. The relief of the surrounding area has changed a lot because of the lava piles up to 15 meters. Occasionally rise above the giant column of ash and gas.

The last eruption of the volcano Tolbachik called "Big Tolbachik Fissure Eruption", took place in 1975-76. It was the first in the history of Russian science, which is able to predict precisely. The eruption changed the topography of the surrounding area and cause local ecological disaster — the deaths of all living things at a distance of tens of kilometers from the volcano.

Tolbachik consists of two volcanoes — Flat Tolbachik (3.085 thousand meters altitude) and acute Tolbachik (3.682 thousand meters). The nearest town — City Keys — removed from the foot of the volcano 60 kilometers.
