The search for the sea route between Europe and Asia via the Arctic — the so-called Northwest pass — have been linked with a number of challenges and threats. In 1845, during the first expedition led by Sir John Franklin, 128 people are still missing. Their fate has for many years remained one of the most impenetrable mysteries polar. Exclusively in 1903 expedition Norwegian Amundsen overcame Northwest passage, drifted off the coast of Greenland to Alaska. A two-part documentary film knows about these famous expeditions with parts of the drama, and computer graphics. The program presents new information that came with the expedition Franklin and clarifies how the Amundsen of success has been achieved, where many have failed.
