Another powerful earthquake of magnitude 6.2 occurred on Thursday in the Solomon Islands, where on the eve of the tremors caused by the tsunami killed six people, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The epicenter of the earthquake occurred on Thursday was 160 kilometers south-west of the city on the island of Lata Nendo. Its center lies at a depth of 9.8 kilometers.
On Wednesday there was the strongest in the region 8.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami that devastated coastal communities.
AFP referring to the representative of the Red Cross Woody Cameron (Cameron Vudi) reports that on the island of Nendo destroyed at least 460 homes. The death toll could rise as rescuers still can not get to the remote villages, presumably affected by the disaster.
