Clinton will award Anastasia Palazhanka award for courage

March 8 U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will award 10 prizes for the courage to women of different nationalities and ages.

For the first time in the history of the prestigious international award, which has existed since 2007, and during the existence of which has been awarded 38 women, awards will be given to Belarusian — 20-year-old Deputy Chairman "Young Front" Anastasia Palazhanka, the website of the Ministry of Finance.

Award Ceremony will be held on International Women's Day in the presence of many high-ranking officials of the United States and with the participation of a special guest of the ceremony — the first lady United States Michelle Obama.

Because of restriction Anastasia Palazhanka not be able to attend in person in Washington, but the premium will be transferred to Minsk and handed her a solemn atmosphere. The date and time of the ceremony in Minsk will be announced later. In Washington, it will read out publicly Nasty Palazhanka.

"I am very surprised to learn about this award. When I realized the fact of the level of the award, of course, I was happy. Satisfied in primarily, no attention to the person, and the attention to our situation and problems. After all, such a bonus to me — it is a reward for each of the Young, for every young man or woman who dream of being in a free, blessed be God, Belarus and sacrifice themselves for the sake of it, "- said Anastasia Palazhanka.

Anastasia Palazhanka is one of the accused under Article 293 of the Criminal Code "riots." She was arrested Dec. 20 in his apartment. Almost two months later she was in the KGB detention center. February 17 she was released on bail.
