The contract for the performance of medium repair and modernization of diesel-electric submarines "Sindurakshak" was signed on June 4, 2010. This is the fifth Indian ship, the last upgrade at the "Star".
According to the shipyard, in the course of work on the submarine were installed modern missile complex Club-S, as well as more than a dozen systems of Indian and foreign origin, including sonar system and a radio system Ushus SCS-MK-2. In addition, the submarine conducted modernization of cooling systems, installation of radar Porpoise and other works that improve the quality and safety of military service submarines.
