DMZ has signed a contract for the supply of cars in Kazakhstan

Demikhovsky Engineering Works OJSC ("DMZ", is part of ZAO "Transmashholding") entered into a contract with the Kazakhstan Railways to supply 10 electric cars AC ED9E.

Under the contract, the train will be transferred into operation in July 2013.

 


At the request of the customer, train will include cars I, II and III class. In the cars I class passenger seats will be located on the 2 +2 with tables between them, in the coaches Class II — 2 +2 with folding tables, in cars Class III — the standard 3 +3 seating. In one of the carriages is equipped with a bar.

The design of the cars used outdoor reclining sliding doors used backlash-free couplings. In the carriages introduced a system of air-conditioning. Created favorable conditions for the passage of low-mobility passengers using wheelchairs to move special. Head cars are equipped with a ramp for getting on and off the high platform. In the salons provide special places for securing wheelchairs.

In the electric train will be installed video surveillance in the salons of cars and lobbies, as well as on the outer perimeter of the front carriages.

Since 2003, the DMZ gave Kazakhstan Railways trains ED9MK 10 cars and 22 waED9M rut.
