Dust storm from China descended on the island of Honshu

Brought strong winds from China dust storm on Monday seized a number of areas of the main Japanese island of Honshu, including Tokyo, according to the National Meteorology.

According to the agency, fine yellow sand, which was recorded on the eve of the southern island of Kyushu, the first time this year, "fell" in Tokyo and Nara, Kyoto, Nagoya, Shizuoka, Niigata and Maebashi.

In poor visibility from 2 to 5 kilometers there was a danger for small aircraft flying in the airspace over these areas, peredatet ITAR-TASS.

Dust storm created an unfavorable situation in the south and in the central part of Honshu, as predicted by meteorologists, could spread to north-east. This region also registered strong gusts of wind.

Because of the difficult weather conditions was postponed scheduled for the morning of departure from the Japanese capital of Emperor Akihito and his wife Michiko, in Iwate Prefecture, was hit hard by the March disaster.
