Sixteenth Russian-Kazakhstan historical and cultural ecological expedition "Zhaiyk Ural-2012" starts in Orenburg, July 17, RIA Novosti reported the administration of Orenburg.
The organizers of the expedition, traditionally by the Government of the Orenburg region, the City of Orenburg, akimat of West Kazakhstan region and Steppe Institute UoRAN.
"Members of the expedition by canoe to overcome waterway length just under 50 miles to the town of Chernorechye. Sixteenth expedition, like the previous fifteen, dedicated to the memory of the writer Valerian Pavlovich Pravdukhin," — said the representative of the city administration.
Participate in the alloy are about fifty people, the Russian delegation was headed by the Governor of the Orenburg Region Yury Berg.
The expedition will start from the embankment of the Ural River Zauralnoy grove at 17.00. On the same day, the expedition will visit the country camp "Seagull" in Protapopovskoy grove.
"The first stop of the expedition will be made to rest on July 17 at the confluence of the Ural and Sakmar, second — July 18, 5-6 kilometers from the village of Chernorechye," — he added.
The first expedition was launched in 1996 and was of a purely literary character, but every year the participants of the event were set more ambitious goals. One of the main tasks of the expedition — to return the river to its former glory, help restore the ecosystem of the river, integrated management of its resources for the benefit of mankind.
The delegation includes politicians, state and municipal officials, representatives of the Institute of Steppe, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, regional specialists, athletes and tourists, the media, the students of the OGPU.
