Recently a group of researchers analyzed several key pollutants, taken from locations with unfavorable ecological situation in 49 countries. According to the analysis, it became apparent that the most dangerous substance in terms of health and sustainable development in the world is lead, which gets us out of the earth during the industrial extraction, smelting and, oddly enough, the process of battery recycling cars.
If you take the statistics for the year 2012, in one form or another lead pollution has damaged the health of 16 million people in the world. As a rule, lead causes of kidney disease, reduces performance IQ, has to do with learning disabilities and neurological disorders, affects the growth of a young body. Severe lead poisoning causes death.
The only positive aspect related to the pollution of this element, is that mankind makes a very handsome successful steps in reducing the spread of lead, compared with carbon dioxide. Many countries have been able to stop the production of fuels containing Pb, and dispose of the old cathode ray tubes, full of lead. The rest will soon follow suit.
But the world still exist old and unreliable technology that threaten the environment. For commercial use 60-70 humanity uses thousands of chemicals, of which only about 200 are fully validated by the Agency for Environmental Protection (EPA). This suggests that as long as we can identify the most dangerous pollutant only one of those that is completely understood. In fact, they may be completely different compound or element that scientists do not have time to examine it from all sides, but that is always present in the air, water and soil around us.
