A strong earthquake occurred on Sunday at the border of Mexico and Guatemala, the data on casualties or damage have been reported yet, according to the National Seismological Service of Mexico.
Magnitude quake was 6.2, the epicenter was located in the southeastern Mexican state of Chiapas, about 190 kilometers from the capital of Guatemala. Tremors were felt in most parts of Guatemala and caused panic among the population.
According to the Guatemalan media, the tremors did not allow the country's president, Otto Perez Molina to end the press conference on the consequences of earlier earthquake on November 7. The head of state broke communion with reporters immediately after the alert system worked.
