The philosopher and writer Alexander Gritsanov died on the night of March 21.
Gritsanov was director and chief scientific editor of the largest in the CIS social and humanitarian encyclopedic series (published 13 encyclopedias and dictionaries) and a series of scientific biographies "thinkers of the twentieth century" (published 12 books.)
In 1987 — 1989 years. led the first in Minsk political discussion club "Filyazovskiya Thursday."
Gritsanov Alexander graduated from the History Department of the Belarusian State University (1980). PhD student, Department of Philosophy (1980 — 1983), a teacher (1983 — 1988), Associate Professor (1988 — 1996) of the Belarusian State University, Head of Department, Associate Professor of East European non-governmental Institute of Business and Law (1996 — 1998), Associate Professor of Philosophy and Sociology of International State Ecological University.
