An earthquake measuring 5.5 occurred west of Kamchatka

Earthquake of magnitude 5.5 occurred in the Sea of Okhotsk to the west of the Kamchatka Peninsula, told RIA Novosti the Geophysical Service of Russian Academy of Sciences.
The epicenter was registered on Tuesday night, about 250 kilometers west of the village of Ust-October Bolsheretsky Kamchatka region at a depth of 500 kilometers under the seabed.
In urban areas of Kamchatka significant aftershocks was not felt. No casualties or damage, the threat of a tsunami is not declared.
