Survila 'Day on March 25 will be the greatest celebration

Chairman of the BNR Ivonka Survila launched an appeal on the anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of the Belarusian People's Republic.

Dear compatriots!

On behalf of the Belarusian People's Republic of congratulations on our glorious Freedom Day — the anniversary of the proclamation of the independence of the Belarusian State March 25, 1918!

Our land has renewed its independence in 1991, appeared on the world map Belarus. However, this was only possible because our ancestors were able in 1918 to loudly declare to the world that from now on the Belarusian People's Republic declared an independent and free country. March 25 will always remain our greatest national holiday, a holiday of our identity, of our historical memory of our statehood.

In these days we are all still living through the events connected with the presidential elections in Belarus. Rigging the vote, beating peaceful demonstrators, the conclusion of hundreds of people, including opposition presidential candidates. I want to remind you of the words of the famous Belarusian priest Father Alexander Nadson: "The share of Belarusian dropped a lot of hardship. Many times it seemed they were on the verge of death. Fact that, despite everything, they survived shows the great spiritual power of our people. "

Today, the spiritual power embodied in those girls and boys, women and men, that tens of thousands took to the area on December 19., And the people, who are actively involved in the campaign of solidarity with prisoners of the regime and who are demanding new fair elections. They will not allow Belarus, independent Belarusian state, perished. Attempts to intimidate the people of the dictator using armed force against them, it will end in defeat.

Our country will stand and will take its rightful place among the nations of the world. I strongly believe in it and I encourage each of you to join the new force in our nation that confront us hostile ideology and mentality. Together we will win all the difficulties on the way to freedom and well-being.

Long live Belarus!
