The European Council will discuss new sanctions against the official Minsk

The EU Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs on June 20 to discuss the situation in Belarus and the possibility of introducing new
restrictive measures.

Also, the Council of Foreign Ministers reaffirm their commitment to the Belarusian people and civil society in the country, especially in the as regards strengthen contacts with the EU at the level of citizens.

"The EU is deeply concerned by the deteriorating situation human rights, democracy and the rule of law, and Rada intends to strongly condemn the detention of, litigation and politically motivated sentences representatives of civil society, independent media and the political opposition, including former presidential candidates, "- says the document, Interfax reported.
