Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the revival in Russia the title "Hero of Labour", the press service of the Kremlin.
The term "hero of labor" appeared in 1921 and was used in the charters that businesses awarded its best work with more seniority. In 1927, the decision of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR (CEC) and the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR (CPC) of 27 July, it was established the title of "Hero of Labour".
This award has been awarded for achievements in the field of production, research activities, government or public service, and have worked as laborers or employees of not less than 35 years. In 1991, the title was abolished along with the premium system of the USSR.
